Terms of service

This is a personal blog, written and run by one person. These terms are short on purpose, because the site is small and the rules are simple.

Accounts

You can create an account to comment on posts, like them, or report content that shouldn't be here. An account is for participating in the discussion, not for anything more formal than that.

Be civil

I moderate this site myself. If a comment or account is abusive, spammy, or otherwise makes the place worse for other people, I can delete the comment, time out the account, or ban it outright. I don't edit what you wrote. A comment either stays as you posted it or it comes down. I won't put words in your mouth.

Your content, my content

You own whatever you write in a comment. By posting it here, you give this site a license to display it as part of the blog. Everything else on the site (the posts, the writing, the design) is mine.

No promises about uptime

This runs on hardware I own and maintain in my spare time. It's provided as-is, with no guarantee of uptime, availability, or that anything will work perfectly all the time. I try to keep it running well, but there's no service-level agreement behind that effort.

Changes

These terms can change as the site changes. If you keep using the site after an update, that counts as accepting the new version. If a change is significant, I'll try to make it obvious on this page rather than quietly editing it.
